Venezuelian Registry Opens 2nd Level Domains Registration

The .VE Registry has announced the opening of domain registrations directly under the .VE top-level domain (TLD) specifically for trademark holders. This new policy aims to prioritize businesses and individuals with verified trademarks, ensuring their brands are protected in the digital space.

Previously, registrants could only secure domains through second-level extensions such as .com.ve, .net.ve, and .org.ve. The direct registration under .VE simplifies the process, providing a shorter, more memorable, and potentially more marketable web address.

This registration rollout currently focuses exclusively on trademark holders, but the registry may open the TLD on a broader scale in the future.
